Profile Information

How might your current work contribute to the sustainability movement?
Working with local residents on creating edible lawns and permaculture projects, trying to buy local as often as I can, and starting to compost for home garden.
In what ways do you personally identify with the Sustainability & Transition movement? Why are you interested?
I believe the future is moving back to smaller villages that are self reliant. It is healthier for the mind, body, and planet.
What background and skills do you bring to this community?
A strong back and a willingness to bring about change.

Greetings Travis and welcome to the site. You might also wish to get involved with the permaculture-slo site. see the first article in the new issue of HopeDance (not out yet) about Kipp Nash's success with creating edible lawns in his Boulder, CO neighborhood to a point where he created a CSA.
Do you know of folks who will film some of your projects so we can post them here. Have you seen the Grow Food Party Crew video on this site? Perhaps we in SLO County can evolve into what that group did in Ojai?
