How might your current work contribute to the sustainability movement?
Not, but trying to get to a local meeting.
In what ways do you personally identify with the Sustainability & Transition movement? Why are you interested?
I believe in the Peak Oil theory. We are seeing the food shortages associated with less oil. The temporary drop in the price of gas is just that. Food prices will sky rocket along with the price of fossil fuel. 2008 is a bigger turning point than we can see at this point in time.
What background and skills do you bring to this community?
Video producer. Sound tech. Technician. Electrician. Computers. Connections with the public access television world both here and in other communities.
What aspects of the sustainability movement most interests you?
Web video production. DVD instructional lessons on growing food, tending livestock, building homes and shelters, etc.

We'd love to have Peak Moment airing on your local community access TV station. We actually started producing the programs fro CATV stations. I have a pdf with guidelines for folks who haven't done that before, and a list of all our shows (138 and counting). You can reach me directly at janaia(at)peakmoment.tv.
(Thanks Bob and Judith for answering for me, too).
yes, and remember we were doing this for about 5 years or so until the new board came on and told us they wanted local production and not films.... so you will have to explain briefly what the new board is up to when we talk? another coup?
Im probably the sender of that. Yes we have many of those 20-30 minute interviews at the HopeDance FiLM Library at the Novel Experience. Have you ever been there? We have more than 500 documentaries housed there.
thanks, yes please keep me informed.. I had a time slot at one time.. we were showing 2 hours a week of dvds and even democracy now.. but then a coup occurred I was tossed because I didnt have a real live show just dvds.. I lost interest in even following what was happening with public access since there was so much negativity with the old and the new folks coming on board. If you can tell me whats going on Id really appreciate it. I paid my $50 for 2008 and nada. I need a spot (and not no 3am slot either) so we can continue showing films on Public Access.
Welcome RC, great photo. I just posted a recent video from Janaia and Peak Moment. If we cannot get them on public access we can post them here so at least WE can view them.
