How might your current work contribute to the sustainability movement?
I am a retired teacher committed to renewable energy and sustainable communities.
In what ways do you personally identify with the Sustainability & Transition movement? Why are you interested?
I left a big city job to move to the country in northern Michigan to be self employed and live a life closer to the land.
What background and skills do you bring to this community?
I am an educator about renewable energy techniques, and passive home design.
What aspects of the sustainability movement most interests you?
The sharing of ideas and passing on information.

argh.......beneath the regions tab are other regions. [I am so brilliant] There is a page dedicated to Michigan! Just watch 1000 suns that Michael Moore of all people recommended. If only we could get Moore on the organic issue. I cannot recall which discussion I saw this in. Frustrated by having to learn another social networking platform, there are just too many to join, although it is cool having our own transitional facebook. I will try to be patient.

Hello Lee!

I find this board at transition cumbersome, I did want to tell you that there is a Michigan board and other states, too. Apparently though the platforms do not cross as I had to re register again for the Michigan site http://transitionmichigan.ning.com/page/regions-1
