How might your current work contribute to the sustainability movement?
I recently created a Garden Club in our community. During our meetings we are showing videos on our current food issues called Food for Thought. My husband and I are retired so we participate full time.
In what ways do you personally identify with the Sustainability & Transition movement? Why are you interested?
I was trained as a facilitator 2 years ago at Genesis Farm in NJ with Michael Brownly from CO. Now I am giving Awaking the Dreamer, Changing the Dream Symposiums and combining Transition US material as the ending.
What background and skills do you bring to this community?
I have worked, studied and facilitated this type of material for some 15 years. I have written two books on working with children, Earth As Teacher, Started a Charter school K-8 that included Transition knowledge.
Hey! hello Jean wonderful to get a message from you via Dandarius. Exciting to know that some dream changers and transitionists : ) are actually here in Palm Springs! I would love to meet you "live". I am sure we have a lot to share, and there is a LOT to do here in the valley. Saturday/Sunday is my newsletter prep days, but Monday would be great to connect. My home phone is 760 328 8001 and we can plan to meet sometime next week - or whenever.
Hi Jean and welcome to Transition California Network! Sorry for the belated welcome but we are running a bit sideways at the beginning of this year keeping up with this rapidly growing network! There is a member named Geralde who you may want to connect with - here is a link to her profile page and you can 'add as friend' by clicking that link under her profile pic. Here is another link to the website she created.
Please let us know if you need any help navigating the site and we are happy to have you a part of TCA!
