Hi Jake, I recognize you from the Transition Lab Contest,... and voted for your project. Excellent idea. Good luck with it!

Check out my blog about anchoring Transition activities to place:(ShelterAND.blogpost.com) I come at it a little differently in that my lens is one of a place designer. But it still is about anchoring skills into your home so they happen- either by exchanging space for educated skill, or making a place in your home for the skill to give it the respect it deserves AND the space to make sure it happens in your daily life!

What will you be doing here? Trying to introduce Transition Lab to the Bay Area? If you're around on the first Tuesday in January- there's a Transition Albany's Potluck with a Purpose that might be good venue to practice introducing yourself and your work to Transition Groups here. I can also put you in touch with Susan, of Nor-Cal Transition Network. It 's just taking shape. Here the 22 Transition Initiatives, and assorted like-minded efforts ( like Permaculture Guilds) are trying to come together.
