How might your current work contribute to the sustainability movement?
I am a social organizer and natural builder in the larger movement toward sustainable and regenerative communities. I write a monthly newsletter to promote women in the natural building movement.
In what ways do you personally identify with the Sustainability & Transition movement? Why are you interested?
I agree with some experts that we are in the "Long Emergency," however I see the transition/emergency as an opportunity for communities to really come together to share resources and enhance local autonomy.
What background and skills do you bring to this community?
Natural building, social and community organization, group facilitation, teaching, songwriting and performance.
What aspects of the sustainability movement most interests you?
I am exploring communal living at Avalon Springs. I facilitate workshops and events that teach skills for the transition movement including natural building, permaculture, and spiritual and physical self-healing.

I was browsing for inspiration/connections and noticed that we are neighbors...wondering whether you'd be interested in collaborating on the re-skilling fair that we (TLC/Transition Lake County) are planning this spring (tentatively on Earthday at CalPine, M'town). I'd also be interested in hearing what you folks are up to down there at Avalon.
thanks Erin for joining.. and its great that you joined the NBN as well. I have heard some good things about Avalon. Have you been there long? If Avalon is part of Transition, perhaps they ought to have a Group here like Dancing Deer has.
