How might your current work contribute to the sustainability movement?
Chair, Food & Agriculture Committee, Ojai Valley Green Coalition. I am in monthly contact with our 200+ members about local food and agriculture issues, as well as those within other California communities ("extended local").
I am also a documentary filmmaker who specializes in subjects dealing with food and agriculture, so I work to get the word out about the contemporary food revolution to as many people as possible.
In what ways do you personally identify with the Sustainability & Transition movement? Why are you interested?
Ever since I saw "The End of Suburbia" documentary, about 8 years ago, I have been focused on how to make our regional food system more self-reliant and sustainable. I know that food may well be the new "coin of the realm" and certainly the most important product as the industrial-food system breaks down. everyone has to eat! Everything else comes after that.
What background and skills do you bring to this community?
As mentioned above....
What aspects of the sustainability movement most interests you?
Food, local transportation & local energy sources.

I might do it again at OF in the COuncil House. have you been there yet?
We just noticed that you had already pledged to the LocalGrow.org - thank you so so much! You are the 6th person on the network so far. We are surprised not more support is coming from within this network. We are sending out broadcasts to other networks as well because we way want Peter & Jared to launch - we are super passionate about locally grown food and easy access to farmers and info about growing. As network developers we know how much time and energy they have already put into the project. We were hoping the 1000+ members here would all be able to pitch in $10 to get them over the top. Anyhow - we deeply appreciate your support and look forward to weaving a sustainable future with ya! Thanks for all the awesome work you do!
Please let us know if you have any questions or need any help navigating the site. Also we wanted to ask if you might be able to help spread the word and gather support for the LocalGrow.org campaign that we are promoting here in the community - you can read about it here. There is only 9 days left to meet the Kickstart goal so anything you could do to help would be deeply appreciated!
