How might your current work contribute to the sustainability movement?
Currently i am retired but i am interested in forming a eco-village where we could build a self sustaining community.
In what ways do you personally identify with the Sustainability & Transition movement? Why are you interested?
I firmly believe if we do not get back to basics; food, water, shelter, clothing, co-operation and acceptance of different beliefs, we will cease to exist..
What background and skills do you bring to this community?
I have lived off the grid. I have experience with repairing photo-voltaic solar systems, with rebuilding engines, large and small. . Repairing generators, I grew up in a rural community in Ohio where we grew most of our own food, made our own clothes, etc.
What aspects of the sustainability movement most interests you?
The whole idea of getting back to local community, of acceptance and tolerance. Of following your own passion, gathering yourselves with like-minded individuals. I believe everyone has a right to live as they wish. I believe most of our problems lie in trying to gather everyone to our own point of view.
