In Portland, Maine we are working on creating a local alternative economics forum linking timebanks with the cooperative workers and buy local movements similar to what you are doing here.  This website is amazing, what software was used to build it?  Is it open source?  Where can we find something similar to have groups share and organize themselves around projects?  Thanks so much for your help!

Hello! Apologies for such a late reply.

This website is built using the Ning Platform, which has a couple of subscription plans available.

SeThink Media sponsors this network, so you may want to consider getting sponsors to assist with the monthly payments. The smallest subscription is $25/month and it is limited to 10000 members, if you plan on having larger communities, the next one up has no limit on member size.

We are very interested in local economic projects and any information related to the progress of such endeavors. Any blog posts or forum discussions relating to your project would be an excellent contribution to this community, and we are always willing to share resources to accelerate the manifestation of great ideas!

Are there any updates on the status of the Portland Hour Exchange?
